Hong Kong No 15: Sampan in Cheung Chau harbour

One-a-day posting No. 15 – Sampan in Cheung Chau harbour. Back to Cheung Chau with the next few photos. This is one of two panoramic shots of the Cheung Chau harbour in the late afternoon – once again there was the very warm setting sunlight. I’ve been hankering after a Hasselblad XPan (or Fuji TX2) to achieve photos like this – but the full size sensor on the Canon 5D allows you to get large shots even after substantial panoramic cropping. So why bother?

It’s nice to see the traditional style boats – such as this Sampan – still in regular use in Hong Kong…..
